Malinska has been one of the most popular holiday destinations on
Krk for the last hundred years. Secluded from windy gusts it is attractive any time
of the year, and thus attempts were made to turn it into a health resort.
On the long promenades, such as the paradise path, visitors will discover untouched
nature and secluded beaches. But there is entertainment also, especially within the
tourist centres and fishing villages.
From modern Malinska a road leads to the medieval franciscan monastery at Porat,
and to Glavotok, the historic summer residence of Krk`s ruling lords Frankopan. There
are a number of monoliths in ancient glagolitic text and art by G. de Santa Crocea.
On the road towards the town of Krk there is an ancient croatian chapel St Krsevan
dating back to the 9th century. |
