Komadina |

I am looking for any living relatives I may have in
Croatia. As far as I know, both my father's parents
were born in Ledenice and were both Komadina, even
though they were not related. My grandmother's name
was Marija Komadina and my grandfather's name was
Bartol/Bartolo Komadina. They both emigrated to Argentina
in the 1920s. I also know that my grandfather's brother
emigrated to St.Louis, MO, USA.
I would appreciate it if anybody could give me any
information.

Name 1: |
Anton Kombol |
Name 2: |
Frances Mihalvick Keveric |
Location: |
Fuzine, Gorski kotar |
My grandfather Anton Kombol was born in January 6, 1885
in Fuzine, Croatia, to Anton (?) Kombol and Frances
Mihalvick Keveric (?). He emigrated to the United States
around 1905 and found his way to Selleck, Washington
where he had five children with his wife Lulu Shercliff
(1885-1977). Their children were Bernell Charles Kombol,
Dana Jean Kombol, Nola Beatrice Kombol, LaVerne Shercliff
Kombol, and Lulu Nadine Kombol.
Anton Kombol was one of eight children whose information
I have as follows:
John Kombol (born 1880), Matt Kombol (1883-1935), Anton
Kombol (1885-1967), Phillip Kombol (died 1914), Joe
Kombol, Anka Kombol, Katarina Kombol who married a man
with the last name Grenko, and Maria Kombol (died 1937)
who married Franjo Kauzlaric.
Some of his brothers emigrated to Roundup, Montana,
one brother ended up in Illinois, one nephew, Tony Kombol,
the son of Philip Kombol, went to Aberdeen, Washington.
The girls all stayed behind in Croatia.
I have some geneological information on some of the
descendents of this collection of Kombols. I would be
happy to send an 11"x17" family tree style print out
of what I have, if you would e-mail me your name and
address. I am interested in adding to my inventory of
knowledge and would be happy to share any information.
My name is William Kombol and I live in Black Diamond,
Washington.

How wonderful to find you website. Guess what? We are
related.
I am a Kombol from Fusini. Well, that is my grandfather,
Anton is from there. He died in the 70's. I live in
Atlanta, Georgia but most of the Kombols that came from
that clan settled in Washington State or Montana. I
have addresses and phone numbers for many if you are
interested.

I am a Kombol and thought there may be a relationship
though I'm not sure how it works. My grandfather was
Anton and he also came from Fuzine - around 1916 or
17.
He had several brothers, most of whom settled in round
up Montana. We visited his brothers who remained behind
in Fuzine in 1968, then again in 1978.
Anton settled in a small town outside Seattle. I can
get you more information if that would be helpful.

Roundup, MT. Wife was Mary Kombol. His son Joe is my
grandfather.
I have information and whereabouts on the remainder
of the family also. |

The purpose of this page is to provide information to
visitors so that they may be able to help in perhaps
locating relatives or friends of Ante Komljenovic
or help with any additional information. |
|
Ante Komljenovic was born in Croatia in 1940 and emigrated
to Australia in either the late 1950's or early 1960's
after fleeing the then Yugoslavia/Croatia via Italy.
He was the only one of his family to come to Australia.
Ante was based in the Mt Gambier region in the South
East of South Australia and worked in the timber industry.
Ante fathered a son Joseph to an Australian lady but
unfortunately in March 1968 when Joseph was only five
months old Ante was tragically killed in a car accident.
It is on behalf of Joseph (Joe) that I have put this
query together in the hope that he may be able to find
out more about the father he never knew. |
The photograph shows Ante Komljenovic
at approximately age 22
We'd really appreciate it if those with links to the
Komljenovic name would ask around their families, particularly
the older folk to see if they know of Ante.

It would help if you knew Ante's exact place of birth

I know several Komljenvic families from the Bosnia region,
unrelated to mine. If you could give a hint as to the
town of his origin, it may help |
